All Ice machines MUST be maintained to ensure high performance.
The cartridge on the water filter system needs to be replaced every 6 months and the unit must be de-scaled to clean the refrigeration evaporator plate.
This maintains the quality of the ice shape and thickness.
- Remove scale and mineral deposits from evaporator plate and water distribution system using approved descaler.
- Sanitise water reservoir, distribution tubes, and bin interior.
- Clean and flush condenser coils (air-cooled units).
- Inspect condenser fan motor and blades.
- Check inlet water valve, float, and filters for correct operation.
- Verify ice thickness probe or sensor calibration.
- Inspect refrigerant pressures, superheat, and subcooling - adjust if necessary.
- Test compressor amperage and general performance.
- Inspect water pump operation and clean pump housing.
- Check harvest cycle operation (heater or hot gas valve).
- Inspect electrical connections, relays, and contactors.
